I started playing ultimate in 2004, and it has become a significant part of my life. As a player, I’ve had opportunities to meet and play with some exceptional athletes and all-around great people. I’ve gotten to play in tournaments all over the country, and even in Italy a few times. I’ve been playing with Pittsburgh’s coed club team since its first season in 2007, and we’ve been gradually making a name for ourselves. Hopefully a spot at USAUltimate Club Nationals is on the horizon!

The sport of ultimate has given me so many things over the years. In addition to sparking my determination to train and practice my skills, some organizational opportunities have come up for me as well. Since I graduated from my high school, I’ve been volunteering as the Assistant Coach for their girls’ team. I’ve also been an elected member of the board of directors for the Community for Pittsburgh Ultimate since 2009, and I hope to be able to continue influencing the development of the sport in the future.
